Chatpata Paneer

Chatpata Paneer is a dish which requires the least ingredients and still end up being too good in taste. I like Chatpata Paneer the most because it get prepared in 10mins and tastes excellent. It is a best recipe to prepare when you are tired and doesnt feel like cooking or wish to eat something instantly. Also this recipe can be made as a side dish, if you have sudden guest arriving at your place for dinner.

Serves : 2
Time Taken : 10mins

Ingredients :

100 gms of paneer/cottage cheese, cut into rectangle strips
2 Medium or 1 large Onion, Sliced
1 Large Capsicum, Sliced
Salt and Red Chilli Powder to taste.
3 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup/sauce.
2 Tbsp Oil
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds(only if desired)


Method :

In a Kadhai/ Pan, take 2 Tbsp of oil, add cumin seeds.

Fry Onions for 1 min and add Capsicum to it and again fry for 2 mins.

Add Paneer Strips to it and add salt and red chilli powder. Note that add less of salt and red chilli powder as tomato ketchup already has these ingredients otherwise the dish would end up being too salty. Let it get cooked for 2 mins.

Add tomato ketchup/sauce to it and mix. Add 1/2 cup of water and simmer for 1min.


Thats it!! Your Lovely Chatpata Paneer is Readt to Eat!

Note : This recipe can also be made as a side dish in chinese cuisine because it does taste alot like Paneer Manchurian. Just remember not to add cumin seeds in it. 🙂
